The Best of Write Action is a collection of original prose and poetry written by residents of Brattleboro, Vermont, and neighboring towns.
All of the writing contained in this collection has been read over the past three years at one of the numerous literary events sponsored and organized by Write Action, a writers' non-profit organization based in southern Vermont,
Write Action came into being after a marathon reading was held to raise money for a local writer. That event, which took place at The Common Ground Restaurant in November of 1999, was so successful that a group of writers decided to form a permanent organization for the purpose of bringing the writing community together in a spirit of sharing the fruits of one another's creative labors.
