Julie Callinicos now calls the Great Pacific Northwest home, but her heart often drifts to her Southern roots. It is the South and some of her favorite cities there, such as Charleston and New Orleans, that have provided inspiration for many of her poems in Tonight, My Love, In The Garden.
Other poems hint of visits to Ireland and England. The North Carolina native, who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1986, began writing poetry as a child and honed her writing talents in college. Her poems have been published in a number of magazines and on poetry websites, including recent publications in Iliad Press, Nocturnal Lyric and Muse's Kiss.
